This site requires a Unicode-compatible browser to render Greek and various special typographical elements (curly quotes, em-dash and so forth). You must also have installed on your computer a polytonic font equipped with the Extended Greek range of glyphs. Nowadays nobody should find this problematic and so a page offering advice for reading Unicode has been withdrawn. If anybody should still have issues with Unicode, please do not hesitate to contact the editors.
Not all browsers can be recommended for accessing The Philological Museum. At least in its Macintosh version Google's Chrome fails to render Cascading Style Sheets accurately and so cannot display pages exactly as they were designed. Other problems have recently surfaced in which links are not followed correctly. The use of another browser such as Firefox or Safari is therefore strongly recommended.
